Dr Clare McLennan

BMBS, FRACGP

Dr Clare McLennan is a specialist GP with a strong interest in women’s health across the reproductive lifespan, including perimenopause and menopause, as well as menstrual and postpartum concerns. She enjoys working with women through all stages of hormonal change and takes a holistic, individualised approach to care. Clare supports patients with a wide range of symptoms, including changes in mood, sleep, energy, and menstrual cycles, and offers both hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options tailored to each individual.

Clare grew up locally and graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2014, before returning to the North Coast, where she has been working in General Practice since 2020. Her interest in hormonal health developed through listening to the experiences of her patients and recognising the significant impact these changes can have on wellbeing, relationships, and day-to-day life. She is particularly committed to ensuring women feel heard, understood, and well supported during these times.

Clare has undertaken additional training in menopause care and is dedicated to staying up to date in this rapidly evolving field. She is a member of the Australasian Menopause Society and Healthy Hormones, and regularly participates in ongoing professional education.

Outside of work, Clare enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, and making the most of the local area. She values staying active through walking, Pilates, and strength training.
